I also heard clarksburg hired a new varsity football coach Brandon Martin. Clarksburg alum’, was passing game coordinator and special teams coach at Rockville this past season.

Clarksburg hired CHS alum Brandon Martin. He was on the first teams that played for the state semi's. He had previously been on the staff at Rockville. An ouststanding person - I wish him well at his alma mater. Looking forward to see who he gets for the staff.

Happy for my dude. Hope to see him bring Clarksburg back to some prominence!
Any word on the Sherwood situation? I find it weird if they released Fields. Feels more like he stepped down...

Word is that the Sherwood opening has to do with Fields' new full time position at Blair. He took over as the Business Administrator at the beginning of the year. I believe the new position does not allow him to be eligible for a coaching stipend.

Phenomenal hire by Sherwood in bringing Cilento back home.
Things will get very interesting in the county as expect Sherwood to be in the same sentence as NW and QO in less than 4 years.
Pat is extremely well connected in the college ranks, look no more than his college placement at Bullis. Not to mention he is an excellent coach.
If he can keep some home grown talent in Olney from being scooped up by neighbor Good Counsel, even if its just 1 - 2 kids a year, that would be huge.
Expect Sherwood to be a county power very soon, this is a good thing for MOCO.

Huge get for Sherwood. Interesting to see how long it takes for him to build the program into a tier one outfit.

Alot of talent came from PG and his best QB came fro New Jersey, no other than Duane Haskins.
