ZZ not being able to attend the NFL combine or have a pro day due to injury also pleagued his chances of NFL. His numbers would have been incredible.

Trying to find Chad Gleason's career rushing totals. (2014-2016) He broke the school record in the 5th game of 2016. (With 8 remaining games, it is hard to believe he didn't finish close to 4k. Pretty great numbers for someone who split carries all 3 years and at times with 3 or 4 other RB's. I vaguely remember reading something about that at the end of the 16 season. Pretty sure he was in the 3800-3900 range. Almost positive he fell slightly short of 4000 largely due to Wetzel having multiple 100 yard games that season.

They had 5 guys over 500 yards that season. Chad Gleason (over 1300?) Wetzel (around 1000) Littleton Policelli Tyler Gleason

Seymour, Zwinak and Gray were just at a different level than the rest on the list. One that isn't on this list but was on the next level was Terence Kerns from TJ. Those 4 plus Charles Dorsey and The Henry Brothers are the best backs to ever play in Frederick Co.
It would have been interesting to see what would have happened to Seymour had he gone to Michigan and not Delaware and gotten hurt as a Freshman. I remember Seymour going to UMD Junior Day and running a 4.4 hand-time 40 and benching 185 32 times, he was a freak athlete at 6' 230lbs. Also what would have come of Gray and Kern if they had the grades to clear the NCAA Clearing House and not get stuck going to JUCO and making bad decisions while there???

The opposite story can be told as well ... "During his high school career, he recorded 499 yards and 12 touchdowns on 60 carries" Another man amongst boys in HS. Played 1 game as senior (also hurt during Junior season). Played an a good team that went the playoffs, back when you had to be good just to get in the playoffs. Got a scholarship to Syracuse, played for Bears, Cowboys and Patriots.

Not taking his academics seriously hurt him bad, not to mention everything else he was involved in. Coach Wright spent a great amount of time off the field just trying to keep his kids out of trouble and qualified.

It’s unfortunate that TK didn’t take the school part seriously enough as he had the natural skill and size and to make it at the D1/NFL level. WVU was his best shot, flagged test scores sent him away from wvu fall camp to hargrave and he never recovered. This is a guy that Charlie weis and Les miles both visited personally in high school.
Without Ben Wright to keep him busy and out of trouble things got worse. I know between Ben Wright, and Rick Connors and some others TK spent a good deal of his off time at their homes being fed and looked after.
That what if game is fun to play sometimes... goes for some other guys on this list and also others not mentioned.

Interesting as well not to see Dominic Clarke not on this list as well. Started at corner his freshman year for Ohio state at cb a couple games, and in their bowl game before getting kicked off the team.

Through five games this season, Linganore’s Ethan Arneson has rushed for 921 yards and Middletown’s Carson Smith has rushed for 892. They both have 118 attempts, for 7.8 and 7.6 yards per carry average, respectively. If they were to continue at that pace for the rest of the season, here is where they could end up, depending on how far they go in the playoffs:
Arneson 10 games 1,842 11 games 2,026 12 games 2,210 13 games 2,395 14 games 2,579
Smith 10 games 1,784 11 games 1,962 12 games 2,140 13 games 2,319 14 games 2,498
Admittedly, it is unlikely that both of these running backs will continue at their current pace for the entire season. It is also unlikely that these teams will play 14 games. But Arneson is only a sophomore, and Smith is only a junior. I think it is fair to say that the current single Season Rushing Record might be in jeopardy over the next couple years.

Look at the upcoming schedule, If Connor's wants Ethan to have 2000yds by game 9, he will. I hope, he actually gives him a break and gives reps to some others.

And while he did get an unusual number of carries against Oakdale, he is only averaging less than 19 carries in the other 4 games.
