So we have young men raping one another in Damascus? Sickening. If this was happening or happened at PB or any down county school it would be front page news and they would be calling for everybody's head in the program. It'll get swept under the table, they'll make the team seem as they are the victims because of the "distractions". I hate hearing about anything like this at any school, but at a school like Damascus it'll be football first...as usual. I'm actually surprised this info made it out without it being kept under wraps, lets see what happens next.

This is a tragic incident that happened at Damascus. Sickening allegations. What’s just as bad is getting on here and seeing how random people around the county are just assuming things cause it’s what they remember. Well I a player in those locker rooms not too long ago. I will say this those of you that think the varsity team cares about what jv does in the locker room are besides themselves. The only times both teams are there is during preseason 2 days. As for the where are the coaches during this? You’re telling me you want the coaches in there watching them change?? Uhm no that would cause us more problems. The fact is something terrible happened when the kids are supposed to be responsible and ready for me practice or study hall. No one asks about the people who raise these idiots just want to blame the adults who give their everything for these kids. It’s a sad sitauation but just like media sucks everyone on here is just as bad. There will be consequences for the program as there should be. But for everyone to think this type of hazing happens often and is accepted and washed under at Damascus is super mistaken. When will it be the kids fault those 3 kids should be expelled from moco and then we move on. All the details will come out in the investigation we will see if it is truly as terrible as the allegations. My heart goes out to the rest of the Damascus community as we figure out how to overcome this horrible incident.

It was already picked up nationally before the sun hit the horizon yesterday. 2. They immediately forfeited yesterday. It’s not football as usual. 3. Many rumors floating around. One of them involves an isolated event involving a transfer student who was expelled from another school and the coach making the report. 4. It’s hard for me to call for someone’s head when I don’t have information other than what has been speculated on social media. However, understand there are many out here calling for people’s heads based on the speculation they have read.

Lets be honest if this was at university the head coach would be placed on leave. And if it did occur in the locker room then it is on the coaches/adults because they should be supervise in that locker room. Both JV and Varsity should be held accountable because there is no way the entire varsity team didn't know about this. The big question is if varsity players did know about this how will the county/school proceed with handling this?

There seems to be more than a few people on here quick to say it's an isolated incident. Are you sure? If it was only 3 kids why forfeit? What if I told you that I have text from a player/ student that says " its this thing we do called the stick" ? The police statement doesn't make it seem like just one incident or do we just not pay attention to that? I won't mention the other situation because I pray to God that's not true.

That’s most likely why this was able to occur

The fact that they’re calling this ‘hazing’ is absolutely ludicrous. Hazing consist of fraternity like humiliation and beatings. This is sodomy and sexual assault I pray proper legal action is taken and those responsible will be held accountable.

Forfeited a JV game...ok, let see how far this goes...yeah it was on the news and thats why I said I was surprised it made it that far out of ol Damascus...but like I say we'll see how it plays out, like I said I hate hearing about this from any school any state. Two years ago in Idaho they had some kind of disgusting hazing like this going on.

They are worried about doing their job. It’s sad that some idiot transfer could come in and ruin everything we have all in the community built. For everyone to think dmass is like everyone else and they go get transfers etc. no one that has grew up in system likes it when new guys come in and don’t know how to be a part of something bigger then themselves. The decision this kid made is on him. He was selfish and it would be a shame to see the whole community go down for something an outsider did. Someone that didn’t go through the grind that the rest of us did ruins it. That’s the shame. The win streak isn’t the only streak that’s up for stakes. The playoff streak might be just as impressive. And that streak isn’t something these kids built they kept it going like we all did.

Made national news, USA Today has a story about.

MCPS should be held accountable for transferring violent kids from school to school!
