I wish all the top recruits from MD participated in this game. Then we would actually win for once.

Time to stop playing this game. Only 4 major D1 Players not counting a K and P going to the UMD. Might be more interest to have cross county or cross region all-star games the week after states.

I wouldn't count out MD just because of the lack of FBS P5 representation. FCS schools recruit solid talent as well.

I wish all the top recruits from MD participated in this game. Then we would actually win for once. To me, that says a lot about the heart of the kids who chose to not play. I assume it’s “to avoid injury” but do people really get injured in these games?

Many of the top players are already on campus by then.

They still play this game.... Why...? From the PA side it’s tradition. It’s literally one of the longest running all star games in the nation. For Most kids up there playing in the Big 33 is second only to the state championship. For MD it gives kids a last chance to shine and maybe pick up some more offers. Outside of football it’s a great experience for a worthy cause. I’ve never heard anyone say they wish they didn’t participate.
