Nick Saban says he’s had two NFL coaches tell him that players are now coming to the NFL with less development and less resilience to adversity.
“Each time you transfer, you minimize your chances to graduate by probably about 20%. Now we have guys transferring two or three times.”

Is there a tangible way to measure “resilience to adversity”?

Is there a tangible way to measure “resilience to adversity”? Yes, number of transfers. 😉

Is there a tangible way to measure “resilience to adversity”? Yes, number of transfers. 😉 That’s some circular logic right there.

Yes, number of transfers. 😉 That’s some circular logic right there. It seems you don't understand the simple math involved. After each transfer the likelihood of actually graduating decreases. The world still needs ditch diggers.

I'm not the biggest Nick Saban fan, but I look at someone like Trevon Diggs as a prime example. In today's age, he would've left Alabama after year 1 of not starting, but he stuck it out and is one of the highest paid players in the League. When you have to grind it out, wait your turn, and/or truly beat someone out for a position, it prepares for the real world.
Plus one thing about the older NCAA before NIL, it prepared you for the Totalitarian NFL system. Few players have any REAL pull, even any at all. NFL is a great taste of the real world of cutthroat business, just with higher dollar values. Old NCAA was basically an internship lol.
