Assuming all of the top seeds advance out of the regions (a big assumption), here are the potential state quarterfinal match ups:
4A #8 Laurel (11-9) at #1 Wise (17-2) #7 Meade (13-7) at #2 #6 Parkville/Kenwood (14-6) at #3 #5 at #4
#2 through #5 - all of the below teams are 16-4. Frederick Whitman/B-CC Paint Branch/Kennedy Bowie/Leonardtown
3A #8 City/Patterson (13-6) at #1 Stephen Decatur (19-1) #7 Manchester Valley (14-6) at #2 Long Reach (18-2) #6 St. Charles (15-4) at #3 Magruder (17-3) #4/#5 - Overlea and Northeast-AA are both 16-4

What are your guys final four predictions for the 3A and the 4A regions? It will depend on how the state quarterfinals end up being reseeded. But for my money, I think the best four teams in each classification are: 4A: Frederick, Wise, Bowie and one of the MoCo representatives from 4A West/4A North (BCC/Whitman/PB/Kennedy) 3A: Decatur, City, and one of the Howard 3A South teams (Long Reach/River Hill) and one of the MoCo teams from the 3A West (Magruder/Blake/Sherwood/Wootton)

Updated potential state quarterfinal match ups, heading into the region finals.
Assuming all home (better seeded) teams win in the region finals, this is what the state quarterfinals would look like:
4A #8 Laurel (11-9) at #1 Wise (17-2) #7 Meade (13-7) at #2 #6 Kenwood (14-6) at #3 #5 at #4
#2-#5: The winner of BCC/Whitman, as well as Kennedy and Bowie are all 16-4 and would be coin flips for seeding.
3A #8 Oakdale (12-8) at #1 Stephen Decatur (19-1) #7 City (13-6) at #2 Long Reach (18-2) #6 St. Charles/Catonsville (15-4) at #3 Blake/Northeast-AA (16-4) #5 St. Charles/Catonsville (15-4) at #4 Blake/Northeast-AA (16-4)
Relative chaos in the 3A, as three #1 seeds fell in the region semifinals. In each of the other three classifications, only one #1 seed lost in the semifinals.
2A #8 Poolesville (9-11) at #1 Gwynn Park (18-1) #7 Dunbar (13-7) at #2 Walkersville (18-2) #6 McDonough (14-6) at #3 CM Wright (16-3) #5 Caver VoTech (13-4) at #4 Queen Anne's (16-4)
The Poolesville/Hammond winner will almost definitely be the only under .500 team to make it into the state quarterfinals. Both teams played a schedule full of mostly larger schools in MoCo and Howard County, but the tough schedules seem to have helped get them ready for regional playoffs.
