Hmmmm, WL. I’m actually stumped. Wilde Lake? Westlake? My guess would be Wilde Lake as he is a HOCO product himself.

Westlake has had some success in football in the past. They've been down a bit recently, but don't see any reason why Parrish can't turn it around for them.

First, North Point and Westlake are in different classifications so at best there could only be one North Point regular season game and not necessarily every season since the SMAC is a 14 or so team league. Second, Westlake would need to deal with decent region SMAC teams or simply at this time a better field of teams than Wise faced in PG like collectively Huntingtown, Patuxent, Calvert, Northern, and of course North Point with mid-tier Leonardtown, St Charles, Lackey, Great Mills. Parrish should have immediate success against La Plata, Thomas Stone, McDonough, and Chopticon. To me it's not just a team of Westlake kids Parrish will need to build but rather a coaching staff as there was a state coaches meeting yesterday and the Wise staff there was pretty much the Wise staff minus Coach p and perhaps numbs. Just Sayin'

Actually most kids finish where they start. Football related transfers, are mostly from privates schools and I've always felt it was when private school kids learned going into their sophomore - junior season that they were not going to be starters or have significant play time. Moreover, PG does have an open seat program BUT these are transfer only TO under populated schools and it's just five schools; Friendly, Surrattsville, Douglass, Central. and Potomac.

I think Coach P saw the handwriting on the wall because the last few years PG began cracking down on the transfer portal. Pretty sure Wise wouldn't have won the chip last year except for the Flowers debacle. I think Chuck County will be easier to get players in because it seems like all the schools have the special academic/technical programs. That's how North Point gets those players in.

So, the battle will be who will get "those players in". I know NP has a US Airforce ROTC program.
