Nice matchup of regional prep powers. This deal is 95% done, evidently it's going to be at a college stadium in the B-More area, maybe Towson.

Todd Helmick just confirmed this. Says this season's game will be at Morgan State. Apparently the only hold up is whether it will be a Friday or Saturday game.

If it is to be a Saturday at 2pm there will be many from Cumberland unable to make the trip due to Pee Wee games. I surely would have to miss and there would be 4 others with me. If it is to be a showcase of champions it would need to be a night game or at least a 6pm kickoff.

A point of a showcase is to get as many people there as possible. If it is scheduled at the wrong time it could be a loss of revenue at the gate. For example, the Melbounre Central Catholic vs Fort Hill game in 2017 had 7000 fans that Saturday Night. If that game was scheduled early on Saturday, it's possible that half the crowd could have been cut with a huge loss of revenue. |
