I private messaged the original poster because putting certain details into the public helps nobody. What happened was a North Carroll fan hit one of the 13U Olney players who had been pushed out of bounds. That player was quickly grabbed and taken to safety by one of the Olney coaches and the other Olney coaches stepped in between the fans that hit the player and the player to protect that player from being hit further. When the Olney coaches got in between the fans and the players, the North Carroll fans attacked the Olney coaches. The reason this was possible is because North Carroll's field is situated in way that the only stands for fans are located on the visiting team's sideline. The only thing separating the visiting team's sideline and these stands is a string of rope and some traffic cones, which was clearly ineffective. The fallout was the North Carroll fans responsible were charged with assault and the CCYFL will vote on whether or not to kick North Carroll out of the CCYFL based on this incident at the end of the season. Unfortunately, this is an incident of kids paying for adults actions and all North Carroll parents who decided to hit Olney players, who are all minors, and Olney coaches, who are all volunteers who drove 40+ miles to the game, should be ashamed of themselves. You say the Olney coaches should be ashamed of themselves? I don't think thats what you meant. Back in the day we never had any issues with North Carroll. Another reason why I think all coaches should be required to be certified to coach youth leagues with a minimum background NIC check.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm up at Christmas Tree Park.

So its being reported up above, "Heard in the news that some adults from Reistertown were charged with assault." Reisterstown is not the same as North Carroll. Back in the day they were two different programs but I guess kids are travelling farther and farther to play. Some Arbutus supporters would visibly drink on top of the hill were the biggest issue 15 years ago.

The two people charged are a couple. One is from Carroll County the other is from Reiserstown. Odd the article says both are from Reisterstown. Reisterstown is at the Carroll/Baltimore County line. Both statements are potentially correct. Just as 2 people from Mt Airy may or may not reside in the same county.

One is from Carroll County the other is from Reiserstown. As stated in the article, "Nicole Ellis and Keith Lockner, both of Reisterstown, have been charged. It is not known what connection they have to the game." They need to find this thing out. Were they parents, or were they townies just hanging out?

I said one is "from" Carroll county. Not "lives".

I said one is "from" Carroll county. Not "lives". So you agree both live in Reistertown as the article states?
