Ik of Salisbury, Bridgewater, Shepherd, and Bowie State but what other colleges/universities do u know of in the playoffs? Not in the playoffs, but probably will be at some point soon once off probation period is Frostburg. Moved from D3 to D2 this year, finished 3rd in MEC with 8-3 record. Very solid opening year in D2. With that said, none of these teams have a strong chance to win it all, especially the D3 teams. As long as UMHB, Mount Union and UWW are still in D3 it is very hard for anyone outside of them to win it all. Salisbury does have a legit chance to make a deep playoff run this year and Shepherd always is a tough out for any team playing them in D2. Additional teams in the playoffs with players from the state of MD on their roster are Wesley(DE) D3, Slippery rock and IUP

A very good start for the Bobcats in D2. Hopefully they can attract more quality players.

So with the FCS bracket we have JMU and Villanova in it. And they aren’t that local but Ik a lot of DMV kids especially Moco r on Monmouth who is in it this year as well. I see both Villanova and JMU making it to the semis but I believe they would play eachother if they both make it that far. Would love to see one of those end the Bisons streak

But many Seagulls from Walkersville ... starters Austin Farinholt, DL; Chad Gleason HB (scored twice), Hunter Cleaver, WR) Others on team, Aaron Jahnke, Alonso Hoes, Billy Gant

Salisbury defeated Union (NY) this past weekend 62-41. The Seagulls will host Muhlenberg (Allentown, PA) this weekend, for a chance to get to the semifinals.
The 8 remaining teams are Salisbury, Muhlenberg, Mary Hardin-Baylor (TX), Wisconsin-Whitewater, Wheaton (IL), Saint John's (MN), North Central (IL), and Delaware Valley (PA).

Salisbury ended a great season, well done to all the Seagulls especially those Walkersville alum.
After 2 decades of Mt. Union they are out and with them Mary-Hardin Baylor is gone too. Yeah!!, I am excited to see some different schools in the semi's and finals this year. Only perennial power UW-Whitewater remains.
From D3football.com check out the time of possession stat line below.
The Warhawks pounded the rock like vintage UW-Whitewater championship teams, completely shutting down Mary Hardin-Baylor in a 26-7 victory. The 2018 Stagg Bowl champions were eliminated in the quarterfinals by a Warhawks squad that executed its game plan to near perfection. UW-Whitewater rushed for 221 yards, Max Meylor was an efficient 10-for-12 passing, and the Cru were only able to run 46 offensive snaps, in 17:15 of possession time. The Warhawks ran the ball 53 times and controlled 42:45 of the clock. Garrett Purdy and Tommy Matoska keyed the defensive effort, which held UMHB to just 140 total yards, minus-3 on the ground, and forced two turnovers.
