Fort Hill will lose 20 seniors including their entire bulldozer offensive line, quarterback, tight end and primary split end. They return fullback Jabril Daniles, 1823 yds and 34 tds this past season, with wingbacks Tristan Ross, Carson Bender and Braelyn Younger. Six starters will return on defense. They have been in this situation before where they have had to replace several linemen and always seem to find the right combinations. I know they are high on the upcoming underclassmen. They are still looking for games for weeks, 2, 7 & 8. Rumor is they have been talking to at least one Baltimore private school about a home & home.
Allegany loses 17 seniors and Mountain Ridge 15. Both are expected to take a step back in '24, but may still have enough to be #2 in 1A.

Expect Oakdale, Linganore, and Frederick to be solid. Oakdale loses their studs. Linganore has a couple nice RB's coming up. Frederick should have good numbers.
Expect Urbana, Middletown, Walkersville, Brunswick and Catoctin to improve. I think Urbana played a lot of young guys this year, so will that translate to next year? I think everybody in this tier is similar.
Expect Tuscarora and TJ to push for (4-5 wins) record which is a big improvement. Newer coaches in their 2nd year can only help.
Wow, this season went by fast.

Wow, this season went by fast. Pretty good synopsis. Linganore loses all but 3 starters, but always has decent players in the pipeline. Comparatively, Oakdale has the advantage on number of returning underclassmen. Middletown, I assume will be most improved, mostly because I expect someone will make sure Poff has weapons around him, if he doesn't already. That won't get left to chance. Thumb to the wind... Walkersville has as good a chance as anybody to be the cream of the crop next year.
