Gideon is the best public school back in the state and there is no debate. More effective against RM than David was. I also think this Gburg team could beat NW if they played

I don't think Gburgs defense could hold down NW offense but Gideon would keep that offense off the field thats for sure. I think it would be a much better game than you think. Ultimately I think NW would win because of their depth but I don't think its a no brainer. Gideon is the most dominant player in the county and I don't think its close.

is there a chance they play in the playoffs? Haven't looked at the seeding yet. Would be awesome to get a legit answer. I think NW wins but Im guessing Gideon gets 175 yards+

One big difference I've noticed between last year and this year's Gburg is the supporting cast. Yes Gideon is by far the best player and things would be a lot tougher if he got sidelined, but I have seen more players around him step up compared to last year where Gburg could do nothing if he was shut down. Brayden Randolph and Osman Fanny are also physical power backs that can drive the rock. As I mentioned last night Sean Abdullah is a dual threat QB who has a nice ball on the run. You need speed on the edges, Michael Nwaogwugwu and Kamran Yaqoob have you covered. Gideon is still the focal point - as WaPo noted, his presence can also serve as a decoy that gives the others more room to operate - but Gburg would not be where it is now without the contributions of those around him.

I'm not so sure. The Gburg defense is arguably better than Churchill's defense and Ituka is better than Avit.... make it make sense.

This is 100% accurate. The supporting cast has really taken a HUGE step forward this year and the coaching staff has done a very good job mixing it up and getting these guys involved, using Gideon as a decoy. Play action is lethal when your running back averages 225 yards and 3 TD per game.

Gburg has the right staff in place to succeed in the future.
