Thank you Mike, Damon, and crew who make this engine run. I've been reading this board since its inception back in 2005, and it is very impressive to see how far it has come. R.I.P. to some of the original posters who are no longer with us (Moco555, MocoMan, etc.). Cheers to another decade!

DFense or something like that was another one of the frequent posters that we lost when the site migrated. I wonder if Mike has a list of the top posters from the last iteration of the website.

I do not know if MocoMan has passed, I just know that the username died. I would be very surprised if he was on here using a different name, as his posts were unique, and I haven't seen anything like them since. Man it would be awesome if you could recover the old site, it would be a hell of a trip down memory lane. Thanks for all that you do!

Most don’t know the story about the early days of the site. In the fall of 2005 we decided to do a playoff game “live”. We had a member at the Churchill vs Quince Orchard game and he called me after every important play and I would post it online.
During the 2006 season we decided to pick four games and make them “Games of the Week”. We picked four responsible adults and they all called my house after every turnover and score. So from 6;30 to 9pm it was hectic keeping up with the phone calls while moderating the site.
I don’t remember when the Smartphone was invented but it seemed that Paul Lucas had one of the first phones. He was able to post directly from the stadium and soon we had a whole new system. In all of those years there was never a false score reported. We had one major Fake News incident but that was cleared up quickly.

I enjoyed the old Podcasts that used to go out every Friday. Interviews with the players, picking winners, etc.

You all sound like nostalgic old farts, which would be funny except for the fact that I’m a nostalgic old fart!

I created an account here in 2015, the last season of the old board. Vaguely remember looking through the threads of some events, like Wilde Lake 2010 and QO blowing out NW in 2014. Alas, never took the opportunity to really explore before it was all gone. But glad that the fun has kept going here.

Yes, well, all that stuff about Wilde Lake is the reason the old board was discontinued. Problem solved.
